Thanksgiving

Here's some pictures from our Thanksgiving dinner at George and Joyce's house, with Katie, Emma and Wendi.
The table centerpiece, a stuffed toy turkey and Emma's pumpkin.Katie leaning on Granddad's legs watching TV.

George and Wendi in the kitchen.

Joyce looking for bargins online.

Granddad and Katie acting silly. Marley had to get in the middle of it. He is the sweetest dog.

The turkey!!

Katie waiting to eat.

Gerry carving the turkey using an electric knife for the first time.

Wendi made the best sweet potato dish. She cut up fresh sweet potatoes in chunks. Put them in a zip lock bag and poured molasses over them; coated the sweet potatoes with the molasses; put them in a casserole dish, put a few pats of butter over them and baked at 400 degrees for about an hour...so easy and so yummy!

Here it comes out of the oven. They were fixed in a casserole dish in the shape of Mickey Mouse ears. :)

The table is all set and Katie is waiting...

The food all set out.

My plate...turkey (dark meat), stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, steamed asparagus, and sweet potatoes. There was gravy too, I took the picture before I put any gravy on my potatoes and meat.

Here we are...Wendi, Katie, me, George, Gerry and Emma. Joyce is taking the picture.

Geraldine, who is away at college in New York, wanted Katie to fill her mouth with whipped cream.

There she is...so funny!

That was so good...she had a little whipped cream on her pumpkin pie that Wendi made...she also has some lemon meringue pie on her plate.

Sweet Emma...

She had to have some whipped cream in her mouth, too. :)

NOTE: I took some of these pictures. The majority were taken by Joyce. Joyce took all of the pictures of our visit with Jeanne and her family, on Wednesday.
