I'm Sick

I have a cold...I don't usually get one...when I do it is usually a bad one. I started with my throat feeling kinda of scratchy on Friday. I had a Shoebox Card Swap to go to Saturday so I couldn't be sick. Saturday morning I woke up and my sinuses were draining...I didn't feel bad.

I went ahead to the Shoebox swap and then after it was over, I came home and got Gerry and we went to St. John's Craft Fair. It is held every year the first weekend in December...Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It is huge, all the classrooms of the Catholic school are used besides the cafeteria and auditorium. And it is always very, very crowded. The parking is horrendous. Gerry was able to find a spot very close to the entrance.

We were there for an hour...walking through about half of it. I told Gerry I wanted to leave...I was completely wiped out. We stopped by Walgreens on the way home and I got some stuff to take for my cold. So for the last 3 days I've spent quite a bit of time in bed. Sunday it was raining and cold so it was a good day to stay in. Gerry drove me to Bel Air yesterday afternoon to get a few things and I went back to bed soon as we got back.

Sure hope I get to feeling better. I managed to get a couple of loads of laundry done yesterday...have more to finish...towels are on the sofa that need to be folded and there's a load in the dryer that needs to be folded also.

I hate being sick. Hope none of you are sick...

  3. Hi Betty,

I just got over a cold and I know how you feel. Dealing with the aches and the coughing and stuffy nose...yuck! I hope you feel better soon. Drink lots of liquid and have some soup. Whenever I have the cold, I buy Oxtail Soup, well just the broth, from Kapiolani Coffee Shop....I love it. Have you tried the Oxtail Soup from KCS? It's a musty try if you haven't = )

  4. Hi there! Thanks!! Oxtail Soup sounds good. I live in California so can't get to KCS. I've been eating won ton soup that I can get from my grocery store in the Hot Wok kitchen. Its pretty good and the hot broth has helped to loosen up the congestion. I've been sleeping alot too. I hate getting a cold so will be glad when this is over. :)
