Just Stuff!!

Two days of this week are already over with and I haven't gotten much accomplished. GRRR! Yesterday I did laundry and tried to work at my craft table. I only managed to get one card partially made. I have a birthday card to get done before we leave on our trip. I knew what stamp I wanted to use, I just couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it. I stamped it 2 times and colored it. The first one I did, the colors just weren't working. The second one came out ok, I don't know that I'm real thrilled with it. I actually finished it up today. Still not thrilled with it. I need to take a picture of it and then post it on my card blog. Will probably do that while we are gone since the person it is intended for may just visit my blog.

We had to take the Quest van to the dealership today for a free oil change and inspection. We got a coupon for the service when we bought the van. We wanted to wait until just before we left on our trip to get it done. The service clerk told us it would be about an hour and a half. It actually took 45 minutes. Elk Grove Nissan has a drive through car wash so they ran it through the wash too. It is cleaner than it was, however those drive through car washes don't really do a good job.

From the dealership we drove over to Stamper's Corner in downtown Elk Grove. I wanted to look for some white Prima flowers to finish off the birthday card.

After we left there we drove over to Hawaiian Style Grill for some lunch. It is over on Laguna Blvd, the exit before Elk Grove Blvd. The two guys that own it are from Waipahu on Oahu. They play music from one of the radio stations in Hawaii, Hawaiian 105, and one of Na Leo's songs was playing when we walked in. The name of the song is "I Miss You My Hawaii". Na Leo is a trio of three women from Hawaii. Two of them grew up together and they met the third one when they were students at Kamehameha School. We have seen them several times in concert here in Sacramento and once in Walnut Creek in the East Bay area of San Francisco. I think we have all of their CD's.

Gerry had a mini mahimahi plate and I had a spam musubi and spam saimin. It was more lunch than I really needed. Yum, Yum, though!!

We stopped at Costco on the way home for a few things. I finished up the birthday card and was working on ideas for a couple of other cards I need to do before we leave. Haven't gotten very far with that. I stopped to fix swiss steak for dinner and do the dishes. I was going to look at Splitcoaststampers for some ideas and got sidetracked by going on Facebook. Don't know if you all have an account on there. It is so addicting and time consuming. I get on there and forget about what I'm suppose to be doing. LOL!!

I'm off for now! Talk to you soon!!
