The hail will turn to snow in higher elevations. Some years ago I was on freeway going into downtown Sacramento. It had been raining that day with some thunderstorms. It started hailing...it was almost impossible to see. The windshield wipers were going full blast and not doing a good job. The freeway was completely white. And then in a few minutes it was over. I was in the firs...I saw hail only once in my life. I was in the first grade in class. There was a soft pattering sound coming from the windows, and when the teacher said, "It's hail!" we all ran to the windows and stuck our hands out.
